If you want your pool to be safe for your family’s use, it’s important to use the proper swimming pool chemicals to sanitize the water and keep it clear and sparkling. No one wants to swim in a murky pool and these types of pools can harbor dangerous bacteria. One of the most persistent problems in a pool is black algae. This kind of algae thrives in the cracks and plaster of the pool. You can also develop problems with black algae in the shady areas of your pool. It actually appears to be a blue-green color instead of black. It is slimy and grows quickly. You cannot kill it with the normal swimming pool chemicals you use on a daily basis. Chlorine cannot kill black algae. People often try treating this problem with a variety of swimming pool chemicals but only certain treatments will effectively kill this kind of algae. Normal algaecide products only work on simpler kinds of algae and will not kill the black algae growth in your pool.
Skillit is an extremely effective algae-removing product. It can remove even the most persistent black algae from your pool. It doesn’t require any PH-adjustment which means that your pool will remain stable while you use. It is one of the simplest swimming pool chemicals you can use in your pool to remove black algae. Your pool chemistry must generally be balanced before you use Skillit. Treat it with the normal swimming pool chemicals you use to balance the chlorine and PH of your pool. Then, you must activate your filter and vacuum your pool. Then you add Skillit to the pool and give it twenty-four hours to kill the algae in your pool. Then, you vacuum the dead algae. If the algae are persistent, you simply repeat the process until all the algae has died.
